Considering that Danielle and David's wedding was a little wet, we decided to do a post-wedding bridal shoot of the two lovebirds. We went to a beautiful location, away from the crowds that flock to the usual sunset spots (though we did have the occasional onlooker, haha). We played around with an umbrella, laughing about the memories it brought from their wedding day. The day provided us with everything we could have asked for...sunshine and blue skies, a slight breeze, and a beautiful sunset. There is definitely something to be said for bridal sessions to be done on a separate day from the wedding. We were all so much more relaxed, and we were able to play around and enjoy the moment. And on the plus side, Danielle got to wear her dress again! And she looked just as beautiful as the day she said "I do."

Danielle and David wedding was set at the Big Chill in Key Largo. It turned out to be a pretty rainy day that day but, "Life is not so much about waiting for the storms to pass as it is about learning to dance in the rain." They held their heads up (under umbrellas of course!) and were able to do the ceremony indoors with all of their guests around them. Though it was a large wedding, it seemed very intimate and everyone in attendance seemed very close to the bride and groom. It must have been wonderful to have been surrounded by so many people who love you. Their wedding dances were amazing, they worked around the entire room with tons of twirling, keeping the guests entertained with their choreographed moves. Tiffany and Stew's Destination Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Tiffany and Stew's intimate destination wedding here in the beautiful Florida Keys. Their wedding was held at the Islander and in attendance were their closest relatives and friends. It was a beautiful and simple ceremony, with such heartfelt handwritten vows that even I teared up a little! The weather was perfect that day with bright blue skies. They couldn't have asked for a better day for their wedding. I don't think I've met two people more in love than Tiffany and Stew. They did a 'first look' before the ceremony and you could practically see cupid floating around between the palm trees. But I digress, here's to the happy couple! I'm so happy I was able to be a part of your beautiful day!

Father's Day

Living in the Keys, you often see and work with the same faces again and again, which I love because you get to know one another better every time. This time I'm back with the Collins Family, post baby Jordan. These photos were intended as a surprise birthday/Father's Day present for dad. Whitney and I thought it would be cute to have daddy's biggest fans dress in his favorite football team jerseys. We were right! Let me tell you, anytime Whitney, Jack, and Jordan want to take pictures, I'm game! They're the best models I could ask for! Jack is so full of energy and emotions and Jordan is just the cutest smiling baby I've ever seen. Perfect for portraits. Thanks guys!

Robin and Chuck

On March 11, 2011, Robin and Chuck were married at Dove Creek Lodge. The day started off windy and cold but ended up being as close to perfect as you can get! Guess Mother Nature knew we had a wedding to do! Robin and Chuck were joined by their close family and friends, and both had children of their own (who were the most perfect models for me!) to share their special day with them. I recently finished a photoshoot for a local business, GG Millwork, right here in the Florida Keys. He specializes in custom furniture including Adirondack chairs, cabinets, and bars. Having already apologized in advance for posting photos of my beloved Marley dog, here is the first of many to come. He just celebrated his third birthday. I can't believe it! He is the love of my life (and I always used to be a cat person, oh well!) I add pet photography to my roster of available services. :) And for all you cat lovers, just so you don't think I've completely forsaken my dear kitty-cat named Psy, here she is in all her glory:

Terri and Mitch

Here are a couple of shots from a wedding I photographed back in March (I'm still trying to get this blog up to speed). Terry and Mitch met later in life, but realized almost instantly that they were soulmates. Their family was large, extending to their grandchildren (pictured below), and everyone had a great time. It was great to see a family come together like that. The kids were an absolute pleasure to photograph and I'm convinced the little girl below will grow up to be a model someday, as she was more than pleased to pose for the camera all day long.

Many of the weddings that I photograph are at Dove Creek Lodge in Key Largo, Florida. I had the privilege of staying in one of the suites for a night and got some great shots of the room and the sunrise the next morning. What a view!

Bobby and Kym Wedding

Bobby and Kym recently had a wedding at Dove Creek Lodge in Key Largo, Florida. Their wedding was beautiful complete with a pig roast BBQ on the beach for the rehearsal dinner, to a dockside boat arrival of the bride for the ceremony. What a unique event! I was lucky enough to be a guest at the wedding as well as a photographer and I couldn't have had a better time! Congrats you guys! :)

Colorado '10

I recently traveled to Colorado for a Celebration of Life for my cousin, Suzy. Though it was a sad time, it was also a wonderful chance to reconnect with my family in an unbelievably beautiful landscape. We traveled all over from Breckenridge and Silverthorne, to the Arapaho Basin and the Continental Divide, to Golden and Denver. It was an incredible experience and I definitely wish I had more time to spend there. Oh, and did I mention it was a blizzard in May!??!!?
